I was invited by the Toronto Fall Home Show to participate in a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity Toronto.
My task was to go to any Habitat for Humanity Toronto ReStore, purchase a piece for under $100 and “upcycle” it; give it a new live. For fun, they also made it into a competition between the participants.
You can vote for your favourite “upcycle” by clicking on the link at the bottom of the post or in person at the Toronto Fall Home Show. ALSO… they are auctioning off the finished pieces to raise money! So, why not take a minute to vote for your favourite “upcycle” item and if there is something that you LOVE then place bid on it!
Its a great way to add a unique piece to your home and contribute back to the community.

Trust me. If I can do it, you could do it. But, before you rush out to start your project visit the eBay auction site to bid on a project that you would like to make your own. Maybe even a cute bed for the fury member of your family… wink, wink. 😉
